Yesterday I had planned on trying to get pictures of the moon rise over the ocean. The moon rise was at 7:56 pm. At 7:00 it was completely cloudy out and I decided against my plan of heading to the beach.
I kept peeking out my window until about 8:10 pm and suddenly there it was! A huge full moon. Darn it. I wish I had gone down to the beach, but I got a few shots from my backyard anyway. Then I had a little fun in Photoshop.

When you see those pictures where the moon is HUGE coming up over the water/mountain/canyon...is that done with a huge zoom to compress everything or some other technique?
