Frontier Town

Last week we packed up the camper and headed to Berlin, Maryland.  One of the highlights of our trip was our trip to Frontier Town.  Frontier Town has a Wild West Show, Water Park, High Ropes Challenge and a campground. We didn't camp there, but we did visit the Wild West Show. It was AWESOME!!! We had so much fun. Frontier Town is set up as the Wild West complete with a town, cowboys, Indians and horses.  When you get there you are given a schedule. Indian show starts first and then onto the Best of the West show on Main St, gun fights, can can dancers, bank robbery and it goes on and on.  I didn't take pictures of the entire day, but I did take a lot!

I have heard that after the age of 5 your imagination starts to slow down.  I think if kids had a bucket list of things to do before they get too cool. This place would be on the top of the list! I am so grateful I got to spend the day there with my husband and two boys. It was so much fun.  The boys are pretty sure they went to the real Wild West. Tiny has been wearing his cowboy hat everyday since we have been there!

If you want to get into the full mode of the pictures below I recommend clicking on this link to hear some background music while you look at the pictures.

be sure to play it in the background!!!

Real cowboy, real horse, real bullets!!!!
A cowboy with a magic saddle!

Watch out for the whips!!!

Bad guys coming watch out! Time to see who can draw faster!

"I'll have a Shirley Temple please."

At lunch time it is time for the Can Can Show. The girls dance and the cowboys cause all sorts of trouble. They were chasing each other all over the place. Needless to say the boys were giggling and laughing so hard they could barely eat.

Just about every kid in the place had a cowboy hat and pistol.  There were gun fights galore. Soon it was time for a real gun fight on Main Street.

After the fight everyone gained their composure and it was time for the kids to put on a gun fight of their own.

There was an exciting bank robbery in town. Horse everywhere, bad boys everywhere, good guys catching the bad guys. Then there was a trial in town and then the convicted bank robber was sentenced to 3 dunks in the paddle boat pond. He got about 50 dunks and each dunk brought on many belly laughs for everyone attending the dunking.
If you ever get a chance to go here I highly recommend it. I left out so much about this place. One of my favorite parts was when we went for a train ride and were held up by train robbers looking for gold. We had to keep our arms in the air the entire hold up and everyone on the train was questioned.

I am so glad we had the chance to go here. I know we are going to have the best memories of our trip here.

I don't know if it's just this post or the template itself, but the photos ran off the side and I had to scroll horizontally to see them all.
