Back from the Show

This past weekend I was in Syracuse, New York. At the Empire Alpaca Extravaganza.
I went with my parents, two of their alpacas and five alpacas from Emelise Alpacas.
I took tons of pictures which I'll share in another post. Instead I thought I'd share some pictures I took today at Emelise's farm when we stopped by to drop off their alpacas from the show.

This is Neveda. He is a the father of Jatoba & Reno, two of the alpacas on my parents farm.  They went to the show and were still in the trailer, but we didn't take them out so I missed out on a family portrait. Bummer. But in exciting news he was bred this morning to Lilly. You know my favorite girl alpaca. I think she is in the background of this picture. She is one of the white ones.  She is staying at their farm until she is confirmed pregnant and then I think she is coming back to stay with us. She is co-owned by my parents and Emelise Alpacas. Hopefully Neveda got the job done!

I am pretty sure this is Spitty. He is my parent's alpaca Spicy's dad. That would also make him Reno's grandfather.  It was great to see both of these guys in person.

I have no idea who this guy is, but I just love this picture.

I love how we were greeted by the herd.

And I loved all the beautiful Fall colors in the background and all the fun colors of the alpacas.

On Friday when we stopped at the farm to pick up the alpacas that needed to go to the show we were delayed. One of their alpacas had a cria!  We helped get her warmed up and all the other after birth procedures. She is adorable. I named her Andee's Candy. That isn't actually her name, but that is what I called her for the weekend and until they tell me her real name I'm going with Andee's Candy.  It was great to come back Sunday and see her doing so well out in the field.  Her father is Neveda. Remember him from the first picture I posted.

Thank you Emelise Alpacas for letting me take some pictures of your alpacas.

I'll be back soon with pictures from the show.
