What would Caesar do???

Freddy and I are back from our trip to Vegas! It was such an awesome vacation!!! We had so much fun.  We got to experience record temps..... holly molly it was hot.  We saw THINGS we have ever seen before.  WOW.  Where do these people come from???  We had lots of laughs and memories that we will talk about forever.

I never really had the urge to go to Vegas. Freddy and I have always enjoyed spending a night in AC and we do like playing video poker, but I haven't had the urge to fly across the country to Vegas until my cousin put together a trip that involved my cousins coming from all over the country to Vegas at the same time. We booked our tickets and couldn't wait!

When I was 9 I went on a road trip across country with my parents and sisters. I have been to California a few times and I have been wanting to see snow capped mountains so bad.  And look at what I saw from the plane!

I didn't take my good camera so all these pictures were taken with my cell phone or my little point and shoot camera.  Also when I just uploaded the pictures they are all out of order and I'm too tired to straighten them out so I'll leave them how they are....maybe confusing oh well I am tired.

We stayed at the Flamingo. It was awesome. It had tons of palm trees, waterfalls, birds, fish, pools.... slot machines.  Look at the Flamingos that squirt water.  Too funny.

Here is the view by the elevator. We were diagonal from the Bellagio and across the from Caesars (where most of my cousins were staying).

We went to Fremont Street and had an awesome time.

My cousins are too much fun.

I was looking to Fremont St the most on our trip. We went on Saturday when the temps were 117. SOOOO hot. I was worried it might be too hot to go, but it wasn't.  The casinos blast out tons of cold air and there was bottled water every where to keep us hydrated...between beers that is.

Butts...

I don't watch too many shows, but I do watch America's Got Talent and I was so excited to see Turf. He was on the show and made it really far in the competition. He was awesome and I was thrilled to see him preform even if I had to cover my face and look away. If you haven't seen him before here is a clip. It is so worth watching!!!!

Back at the Flamingo we had coffee outside and sat on a bench and watched the waterfalls, birds and even hummingbirds. The hummingbirds were within arms reach and such a joy to watch.

We had to get a picture with this guy that looked just like Zack Galifianakis from the Hangover.  One of my all time favorite movies.

We went to the show Absinthe at Caesar's.  It was AWESOME!!! It was so wrong, but so funny at the same time. I laughed so hard my face hurt for hours.  Some of the performers were so amazing. Actually they were all amazing, but I really liked the body guards performance. You can watch it here.

It was fun getting to hang out with my cousin Andy who lives in LA. I haven't gotten to see him in a few years.

Unfortunately the flash was off on my camera, but here was our crew.  We had so much fun.

All together we live in: Manhattan, New Hampshire, Philly, New Jersey, Oregon and California.

Our flight to come home got delayed twice.  I was entertaining myself during the wait by knitting. I was so tempted the play the slots.  Self control I tell you.  I imagined a slot machine in the airport that gave out yarn, I totally would have sat down at that machine.  I joked with my cousin about the slot machines being so tempting in the airport. She said they are there just in case you didn't leave all your money in Vegas.

I got to see a beautiful sunset out my window on the airplane. A beautiful way to end an amazing vacation.

I have to say a huge thank you to my family for taking care of my boys while we were away. You guys are the best!!!
