Summer Days

Thank you for all of your kind words about the passing of Harley. I appreciated each and every email and comment. They were all so touching. I love the connections I have made with so many wonderful people here through my Blog. You guys are the best.

I was just sitting at my desk working when I heard yelling and laughing coming from the front yard. I looked out to see the boys begging for their daddy to spray them with the hose.  I love to see how much joy a simple garden hose can bring to two little boys.  I could watch them playing like this all day.

I am so grateful that I decided to keep them out of summer camps and school this summer. We have had wonderful long lazy days filled with whatever we want to do! Well I am working, but the boys are very creative and find lots of ways to entertain themselves around the house and yard.  They just seem so happy.  We are all really enjoying a schedule free summer. No alarm clocks and no rushing around.  I am loving it!

We booked a camping trip for next month. I'm really looking forward to tubing in a river, going to a rodeo, watching fireworks over a lake, exploring caves, going for hikes, rafting, hanging out with friends, hanging out on our friends boat, having camp fires oh we have so much planned.

Love the expression of joy and happiness on their faces. It's the "simple" things in life that are sometimes the biggest and most special moments.
