Yarn Along....almost done

My Plliver is almost done. I still have to work the arm holes and make the cowl neck. It has been a long process, but I am loving the result.  It is not a beginner knit by any means. I think this is the type of project that would make people never want to knit again. I can see someone like my sister coming over daily to figure out what she did wrong (any my sister is a very experienced knitter).  If you look at peoples projects on Ravelry you will see there were a lot that gave up. I somehow have the type of brain that works in strange mathematical ways and I can easily recalculate my stitches and make adjustments for increases and decreases.  I have taken courage from the people that did finish and wrote it was worth it to stick with this project and so far I am so glad I have.  I am also loving the Madelintosh yarn.

I got new glasses!!! My old pair had a lots of scratches right in front of my right eye, but now with a new scrip and scratch free glasses I have picked up some reading!  I can read and not get a headache it is amazing. So I am reading the second book of the Hunger Games "Catching Fire". I am loving it.

In my yarn along bag I've been working on some hats. I am making with Welted Ribbed hat with Luna Gray Fiber Arts yarn that I won in a give away. How fun is this yarn!

I wrote the pattern for this hat and I am double checking the decreases.  This hat is definitely going to get a pom pom.  I think this yarn is so much fun.  I'll upload the pattern into Ravelry next week in case you want to try it out for yourself.

Ginny the hostess of the Yarn Along is having a give away of an awesome Fossil Hunting in a Box.  I think it looks like so much fun. Her kids are big into fossil hunting and they always go on fun fossil hunts. It looks like so much fun.  Swing by her site to check it out.

Also a note about Ginny's site is she has a link through Amazon.  If you go onto Amazon through her site and buy something she gets a percentage of the sale. It is so simple even I can do it! So if you plan on making any purchases from Amazon be sure to go through her site.  There is a link on her sidebar for Amazon.

Here are her words explaining the program.

~I often link to resources that I and my family personally use and recommend. I participate in several affiliate programs including the Amazon associates program and if you enter Amazon.com through my blog and then make a purchase, I will receive a small percentage of the sale. One hundred percent of these proceeds help me to contribute to my family in a meaningful financial way. I will never recommend a product or resource for the sole purpose of being compensated financially. If I write that we use or love something, you can trust that we do. With the exception of posts containing links to Amazon.com, all posts containing affiliate links will include a note at the bottom. Your support is such a blessing to us. ~

How cool is that!

Very nice! I checked out her site as well and I'm intrigued by the Yarn Along. Like I need one more thing to try to keep up with...but it would be a fun way to do that...
