Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I almost didn't think I was going to participate this week with Ashley's Scavenger Hunt Sunday, but I put my work to the side and went around the house snapping photos. I have so much fun finding things to photograph and I am so glad to participate.

1. Routine
At the end of the day I love to knit.  It relaxes me and I enjoy some down time before I go to sleep.  The item above is going to be a gift for my cousin.  She is having a baby girl. The yarn is an extra fine merino and might I add extra soft.  It can be worn by a mom as a baby sling (the baby can fit comfy inside), or as a swaddle, or as a hooter hider (to cover mommy and baby when breastfeeding), or an infinity scarf, or a baby blanket. I'll stop there I think you get the point.  It is a nice light weight knit and the best part is that it is machine washable and has an endless amount of uses.

 2. Music
Yesterday I purchased the CD "The Band Perry".  The actual CD not downloaded on iTunes. My husband can not understand why I would purchase a CD and not just download it and burn a copy to a disk. Clearly he doesn't understand the importance of having the little booklet that comes with the CD that has all the lyrics.  The inner 12 year old in me still loves to hold the booklet and sing along with the band like someday I'm going to be a huge country star.

3. Technology
This is my spinning wheel so technical :) I make lots of yarn with my wheel. This week I took my wheel to a local Quilters' meeting and let lots of quilters try it out.  I really enjoy watching peoples faces as they discover how yarn is made. I let them hold the roving as I treadle and presto yarn.  I used technology, photoshop, to edit my picture I used the Stamp setting and adjusted the light/dark balance to 12 and the smoothness to 3.

4. My Style
I picked out this fabric for curtains in my bedroom.  Hopefully later today I will be sitting at my sewing machine making them.

5. Mismatch
Brady and I had some fun with the Photo Booth on my computer.  We had some good belly laughs taking these pictures.

Thanks for stopping by and please be sure to visit Ramblings & Photos

what a fun series! I see you used your 'technology' for a couple of the images - and your knitting looks FAB! It'll be a lovely gift.

Fun photos! I love that you used your spinning wheel for the technology shot. We often forget that technology doesn't mean that it needs to be plugged in or run on batteries!

One thing about looking at others people post is that I get jealous of what others can do or what others have. I'm definitely jealous of how beautifully you can knit. And the fact that you called it a hooter hider almost had me rolling. I also really like your technology picture. Very cool.

hahaha... mismatch is cute!

this is the second s.h.s. post i've seen that used knitting for routine. and like i said on the last post, i wish it was my routine, but sadly i have never learned. i'm still hoping to some day. my mom can knit and has always told me she would teach me... but, we've never made it a priority, much less a routine.

love that curtain fabric! its so me!
