Rhinebeck on My Mind

I am so excited about Rhinebeck this year (aka NY Sheep & Wool Festival). This year I'll be staying for two night and not going with my husband and kids. Instead this year I'll be staying in a house with lots of knitters, bloggers and fiber junkies! I'll have so much time to spend at the festival and I can't stop thinking about it!!! I am so so so excited. For the first time I have entered the Photography Contest. There are four categories and the grand prize is $300.00!

Last Day to Vote?

I am not sure if today is the last day to vote for the National Alpaca Photo Contest.  It says that the votes are going to be tallied on May 1st, but it says voting is open until May 7th. So just in case here is a reminder that today might be the last day to vote.

Let the Voting Begin

It's that time of year again. National Alpaca Photo Contest time!!!

 

In the past I have entered my photographs by printing them, mounting them and mailing them off to AOBA.  They are then voted on by judges and displayed at the National Alpaca Show.  There are exciting prizes and there is a People's Choice Award given at the show. 

 

This year they have changed things up and are holding an interactive photo contest, allowing fans to vote on the photo they think is best online.  That means everyone can vote!  The top 10 entries of each five categories will be selected, printed and matted and displayed at the National Western Complex in Denver Colorado May 16-19, 2013.

 

 The prize of the People's Choice will be on the COVER OF ALPACAS MAGAZINE!

 

One potential People's Choice Winner will be selected by the photo with the most eligible online votes.  You can vote one vote per category per household once a day until May 7th.  So feel free to vote for me!

 

I am so excited about this I can't stand it. I loved going back and looking at all my pictures of the alpacas over the past year.  It is amazing how much they change. Okay on with my entries.

I think what makes this picture so funny to me is that this sweet alpaca never spits!  I can't believe I got a picture of her spitting.  And what a good spit it was.
