Leaves of Grass

I finished my Leaves of Grass! I am so excited to have finished it so now I can enjoy wearing it. Or using it as a blanket.  I really loved this pattern and it was the first time I participated in a knit along.  The gang over at Girls in Sheep's Clothing were so much fun. I went into it only knowing Lori and I met some wonderful people over there and hopefully there will be another KAL.

The yarn I used was from Beaverslide. It is a merino and mohair mix.  I love how it soaked up. After I blocked the shawl the yarn became so soft. I really love it. The weather didn't cooperate for good pictures of the shawl. It was very gloomy out today and then it continued to be a wet snow mixture all day. So not very good for either a hand knit or my camera.  I plan on getting more close up pictures of it as soon as the weather cooperates and I can do something fun with it.  For now I will just wear it and enjoy it.

This will be my last big knitting project for a while (at least that is what I am telling myself). I have lots of roving that needs to be spun into yarn.  So I'm putting the knitting needles down and sitting in-front of my spinning wheel. Well maybe I'll get a few small knitting projects done first :)

Happy Knitting
