Tilden Hat

My cutie pie nephew turned 1 not that long ago and I knitted him a Tilden Hat. It is a Jared Flood pattern. It is such a nice pattern and knits up much quicker than I had thought. I used some alpaca yarn I had in my stash for it. I knitted it on US 3 needles.

I have a feeling my nephew will enjoy wearing it more next Fall when it is a bit cooler out.

For reading I am still into the Outlander Series. I've been reading "A Breath of Snow & Ashes". I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE these books. Just in case I haven't said it before :) I like to compare these books to the movie Titanic. The books are based on fictional people, but in a real historical setting. I have learned so much about history. Just like the movie Titanic I learned a lot about the actual Titanic and enjoyed the ride with the characters. Outlanter takes you through Scotland, France, America and so many more places. It is fascinating I tell you!

Both the model and the hat are gorgeous!
Is the Outlander series you are reading from the filmed series? I thought the "Outlander" books sounded good, but I can only find the series tie-in for the Kindle and I am not so sure I want to read that, I would much prefer to read the original books.

Looks so fantastically soft! I love how subtle the pattern is with the close shades.

Great hat! The alpaca works so well with the pattern. I read the first Outlander book, and I think half of the second, years ago. I've been thinking I should pick them up again.

The teeny bit of halo makes the hat colorwork all the more luscious. So pretty!
