We have a new member of the family.
We adopted her from a Rescue Group "Paula's Dog House". She and her litter mates were turned into a shelter in NC. At shelters in NC when dogs are surrendered by owners they are given 24 hours before they are euthanized. Thankfully the rescue group got her and her litter mates out. They came up to NJ and were being fostered with a wonderful and loving family.
She is 9-1/2 weeks old and we think she is a boxer / lab mix. We aren't 100% sure but that is what the vet believes. We know she is 100% adorable. She loves the boys and follows them like their shadows.
Below is Freddy, puppy and her foster mom. Their backyard is AMAZING. If I was a dog I would love to live there. They have a whole play area built into the backyard it is awesome.
I wanted them to adopt me.
We had planned on only meeting her. We would go home and be back Saturday afternoon to pick her up. We have plans to be away all day Saturday. Freddy was quick to make a phone call to a good friend to ask if they could puppy sit for us.
There was no way we could come home without her.
We are still working on her name.
I found Harley's puppy collar. She doesn't think collars are very nice to wear. Maybe she will feel differently about a pink one.
She tries to pull off a tough girl look, but really she is so incredibly sweet.
We are one lucky family to have her here with us.
I can't stop smiling :)
