Imogen Cowl

I just finished knitting an Imogen Cowl. Oh and I just loved knitting it so much.  The yarn I used was from Beaverslide Dry Goods. It is a merino/mohair 80/20 blend and just a joy to knit with.

Beaverslide does not over process their yarn and it means sometimes you find bits of hay in the yarn. I absolutely love finding the hay in the yarn. It makes me feel like it is farm fresh.

The color of the yarn reminds me so much of the color of my dog Harley.  He is a big old weimeraner.  Since he was busy soaking up some morning sun on the carpet in the Dining Room I used this little figurine to do the color comparison.  I didn't want to bother him especially since his sun spot only lasts for about 45 minutes.

This cowl can be worn wrapped once or twice.  I am sure I'll make this cowl again.

This is lovely. Is matching the dog a happy happening or a planned event? I've been looking for a lacy/leafy/not impossibly difficult pattern. Here's the problem--how does the back/inside look? the wrong side of so many patterns looks terrible, I am discouraged before I even start.

It is gorgeous, Andee. I have that pattern and some Quince sitting here just waiting. Although I do love Beaverslide. My little stash of it is home in Arizona.

The colour and design make a gorgeous combo, which sounds very snaggly.
