Yesterday my parents welcomed a new addition to their alpaca herd. A little girl. I took these pictures just minutes after she was born.
The new baby with her Aunt Lilly.
My sister is due on Thursday. She helps out with all the births on the farm so we were all glad she was around to help out.
In knitting news I am still working on my Ashby Shawl. I am using Tess Yarn. It is 100% alpaca and hand dyed by Tess in Maine. It is going to be a huge warm wrap that I can't wait to wear. I am trying my best to get it done before my parents get all their yarn back from the fiber mill from their alpacas. I know once the yarn gets here I won't be able to wait to get my hands on it to start knitting.
