It's a Boy!

Early this morning Spicy gave birth to a healthy little boy. My mother and sister were there for the birth.  After a long night of patiently waiting and watching they were so excited to have a healthy smooth birth! Phew. Spicy is a first time mom and she needs some time to adjust to her new position in life, so my parents will be keeping the farm closed to the public to give the alpacas some time to adjust to the new guy.  Thank you to everyone for being patient and I will let you know when they are allowing visitors again.

I stopped by the farm for about ten minutes and took a ton of pictures. This little guy didn't have a name yet, but I'm sure he will by the end of the day.  So enough talk and time for pictures of the little guy. He weighed 19 lbs at birth.

Good job Spicy. Now you have to let him nurse!
