Andee Dandee Yarn- ColorMe Weekly

I made some hand painted alpaca yarn with flowers and leaves from my yard.  I took the picture of the tulips after I had removed the dying ones.  I used the flowers that had fallen off my azalea and rhododendron bushes and I picked a few leaves off the Japanese Maple.  I put them all in a pot and heated them to draw out the colors.  Then I added the yarn and let it sit in the pot overnight.  I love how it turned out. A warm subtle pink and since it is alpaca it is wonderfully soft.  I photographed it with a skein of undyed yarn behind it, so you can see the difference.

I included a color palette on my first picture of the tulips. I am linking wiht Leavesnbloom Studio. This is the first time I have linked to this site, but I am a frequent visitor to this beautiful site.  Hopefully I didn't mess up and my post doesn't get deleted.

GASP! that's beautiful and such a great DOF in the shot aswell.

Don't worry about getting deleted - blogs that don't have a colour palette just get deleted - I've only ever deleted one and that person was just looking for people to visit his blog.
